In the midst of a global transition that requires new humanitarian and development approaches, CoAction Global was established to facilitate innovation and investment in communities long excluded from the benefits of the global economy.
The independent nonprofit impact accelerator seeks to forge new partnerships and drive solutions that generate economic prosperity in especially hard-to-reach and often overlooked places.
The organization is led by Executive Director Elizabeth Campbell, who takes the helm of CoAction Global as the next step in a career spanning government, civil society, and the United Nations. Previously, she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration at the U.S. State Department, as senior humanitarian policy advisor in the Bureau of International Organization Affairs, and in other roles in which she demonstrated leadership in multilateralism, diplomacy and humanitarian action.
“With a sense of urgency, intention and collaboration, CoAction Global will work with local and global partners to drive community investment and advance economic growth that increases sustainability, innovation and empowerment,” Campbell shared. “We are building partnerships with institutions and leaders across civil society, local and national governments, international organizations, development finance institutions, and the private sector.
“It is time for disruptive change in humanitarian and development systems to create opportunity for all, no matter where people live. The future is bright for creative, impactful collaborations that will lead to real transformation in individual lives and communities.”
